First, apologies for the necropost. Second, is me adding relevant information. Today I woke to a set of dead batteries due to me forgetting to push the light bar back in. Playing it smart, I did a little research before just tossing on some jumper cables. Most sources will tell you that attaching jumper cables from a 12v vehicle to a 24v vehicle is very bad juju, including the Tech Manual that comes with the vehicle.
However, a few alluded to it being possible. Since a few sources said it may be possible, I decided to take my multimeter and hooked it up to my batteries to find what the voltage on each of the batteries was. The rear battery read out at To me that indicated the front battery was the 12v, and the rear battery was the 24v. Going off of that information, I had a friend hook his 12v truck up to front battery to jump me off.
Lo and behold, no issues. Nary a spark from the terminals, nor heating of the cables.
